Who Owns Versace House?

If you are a fashion enthusiast, you must have heard of the iconic Italian fashion brand Versace. The brand is known not only for its high-end fashion products but also for its luxurious properties. One of the most famous properties owned by the Versace family is the Versace House, also known as Casa Casuarina.

The Versace House is located in Miami Beach, Florida, and was originally built in 1930. It was then bought by Gianni Versace in 1992 for $2.9 million and was later converted into a lavish mansion. The mansion features 10 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, an observatory, a swimming pool lined with 24-karat gold tiles, and a mosaic garden courtyard.

However, after Gianni Versace’s tragic death in front of the mansion in 1997, the ownership of the property became disputed. The property was initially inherited by his brother Santo Versace and his niece Allegra Versace Beck.

In 2000, Donatella Versace purchased her brother Santo’s share of the property and became a co-owner alongside Allegra with a 50% stake each in the Casa Casuarina property.

In 2013, after several attempts to sell the property since Gianni’s death (including being listed for $125 million), it was finally sold to Jordache Enterprises for $41.5 million dollars.

Nowadays, the mansion serves as a luxury hotel named ‘The Villa Casa Casuarina’ that offers its guests exclusive access to its opulent facilities such as private balconies overlooking Ocean Drive or Gianni’s suite that he once called home.

In conclusion, while Casa Casuarina may not be owned by the Versace family anymore; it still serves as a tribute to Gianni Versace’s unique style and vision in both fashion and architecture.
