Using Silhouette Studio, you can make amazing and professional-looking designs without the need for any expensive design software. The software is designed to be easy to use and navigate, but some of the features can be a little tricky to figure out. One such feature is the ‘cut settings’ option – if you’re not sure where to find it, then this article will help you out!
The cut settings option on Silhouette Studio is found in the Send menu. This menu can be accessed by clicking on the icon in the top left corner of the program window (it looks like a paper airplane).
Once you’ve selected this option, a new window will appear with several tabs along the top. The tab we want is labelled ‘Cut Settings’; click this tab to open up a new window with all of your cutting options.
In this new window, you’ll be able to adjust various settings including cut speed, blade depth and force levels. You can also select from an array of materials that are compatible with your machine – each material has its own preset cut settings which can be used or adjusted as needed. You should also take note of any warnings that may appear in this window; these warnings are there for your safety and should never be ignored.
Once you’ve completed all of your adjustments, click ‘OK’ to save them and return to the main Silhouette Studio window. Your new settings will now be applied whenever you send a design to your machine for cutting.
