It’s an easy-to-use machine perfect for hobbyists and crafters alike. Setting up a used Silhouette Cameo 3 is straightforward and only requires a few steps.
1. Locate Your Accessories:
Before setting up your machine, you’ll need to locate all the necessary accessories. This includes the power cord, USB cable, blade holder and blade, cutting mat, and the software disc.
2. Install Software:
The next step is to install the software that comes with your machine on your computer. This will allow you to create designs on your computer and then send them over to your machine for cutting.
3. Connect USB Cable:
Once you have all the accessories in place and the software installed on your computer, it’s time to connect your machine to your computer using the USB cable. This will allow you to send designs from your computer to your machine for cutting.
4. Insert Blade Holder & Blade:
Remove the blade holder from its packaging and insert it into the back of the machine where indicated by an arrow symbol.
Make sure that it is securely inserted into place before continuing.
Next, insert the blade into the blade holder by pushing down until it clicks into place.
You may need to adjust the pressure of your blade depending on what material you are cutting. This can be done by turning a dial located above where you inserted the blade holder.
5. Place Cutting Mat:
Once everything is connected and set up properly, you’ll need to place a cutting mat onto the baseboard of your machine before turning it on. Make sure that it is securely placed so that it won’t move around during operation.
6. Turn On Machine:
The last step is to turn on your machine by pressing down on the power button located at the front of it.
