The Silhouette Cameo is a cutting machine that can cut a variety of materials, including heat transfer glitter vinyl. It works by using a blade to cut out shapes and designs from the material. The Cameo also has a heat press attachment that can be used to heat transfer the glitter vinyl onto fabric or other substrates.
When using the heat press attachment with glitter vinyl, it’s important to use the correct temperature settings for your specific material. Most types of glitter vinyl require temperatures between 310°F-320°F (154°C-160°C). Be sure to check the manufacturer’s instructions for your specific type of material.
Once you’ve chosen the correct temperature setting, place your substrate on a flat surface and place your design on top. Secure both layers with masking tape or another type of adhesive. Then place your Silhouette Cameo heat press over the design and turn it on.
Using The Heat Press Attachment:

Place the upper platen of the heat press over the design for 10-15 seconds.

Lift up slightly, then lower again for 5 seconds.

Lift up again and peel off the carrier sheet while still hot.
