Does Gonzaga Have a Graphic Design Program?

Gonzaga University is located in Spokane, Washington and is a Catholic-Jesuit college. It offers a variety of degree programs in the liberal arts, business, education, engineering, and sciences.

With such a wide range of disciplines available to students, it would be reasonable to assume that Gonzaga also offers a graphic design program. However, there is no official graphic design program offered at Gonzaga University.

That said, Gonzaga does offer courses in digital media which can help students hone their skills in graphic design. These courses include topics such as digital photography and multimedia production.

Additionally, students may be able to take electives in other related areas such as animation and web design. Some of these classes may provide students with an understanding of the principles of graphic design and how to apply them to create effective visuals.

Gonzaga also offers minors in digital media and visual arts which could be beneficial for those interested in pursuing a career in graphic design. The Digital Media minor focuses on multimedia storytelling while the Visual Arts minor provides an understanding of visual culture through studio art classes. While these minors don’t offer direct instruction on the specifics of graphic design they could still provide valuable knowledge on how to create compelling graphics.

Conclusion:

Gonzaga University does not have an official graphic design program but it does offer courses and minors related to digital media and visual arts that could benefit those interested in pursuing a career in this field. These courses may provide insight into the principles of graphic design and how they can be applied when creating visuals.
