A Cricut is a digital cutting machine that can help you create personalized projects with intricate details. Whether you’re looking to make custom cards, vinyl decals, or unique scrapbook pages, the Cricut can handle it all.
But did you know that you can also use it to make a calendar? With the right materials and a few simple steps, you can create a stylish and useful calendar with your Cricut.
First, decide on the type of calendar you want to make. You can design your own custom calendar or purchase one of the many templates available online. Once you have chosen your design, upload it into the Cricut Design Space software and adjust it to fit your project needs.
Next, gather the necessary materials for your project. You will need cardstock or other thick paper for printing; colored markers or pens for adding details; and vinyl sheets for adhering the pieces together. The Cricut machine will cut each month out of vinyl sheets so be sure to purchase enough material in advance.
Once all of your supplies are ready, it’s time to get started! Begin by loading the cardstock into your Cricut machine and selecting “Vinyl” from the list of materials on Design Space.
Adjust any settings as needed and then send your design to be cut. When finished, carefully remove each month from the backing paper and set aside for later use.
Now it’s time to assemble your calendar! Start by laying down a piece of cardstock onto a flat surface and arranging each month in order from January through December. Secure them in place with tape if necessary then use either markers or pens to add any extra details such as dates and holidays.
Finally, cut out twelve smaller pieces of vinyl that are slightly larger than each month’s label (these will serve as adhesive). Peel off their backing papers one at a time and carefully adhere them onto each month label before pressing firmly onto their corresponding months on the main cardstock sheet.
