Is There a Season 2 of Versace?

If you are a fan of crime dramas, then the show ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story’ must have caught your attention. This anthology series created by Ryan Murphy was highly appreciated by critics and fans alike for its bold storytelling and brilliant acting performances. The show was based on the real-life story of the murder of fashion designer Gianni Versace, played by Edgar Ramirez, and the manhunt for his killer Andrew Cunanan, portrayed by Darren Criss.

Now that the first season has concluded, many fans are wondering if there will be a second season of ‘Versace’. Unfortunately, the answer is no.

The show was originally planned as a one-season anthology series, with each season focusing on a different true crime story. The first season explored the murder of Gianni Versace and delved into Cunanan’s motive behind the killing. The second season was initially supposed to be about Hurricane Katrina but was later changed to ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace’ due to scheduling conflicts.

However, just because there won’t be a second season doesn’t mean that fans won’t get to see similar content from Ryan Murphy in the future. In fact, his next project is ‘Impeachment: American Crime Story’, which will focus on Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial in 1998. The show stars Beanie Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky, Clive Owen as Bill Clinton and Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp.

In conclusion, while we won’t be getting another season of ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace,’ we can look forward to more intriguing true crime stories from Ryan Murphy in the future with ‘Impeachment: American Crime Story.’
